Alibaba thinks of Russian food exports to China
MOSCOW, Feb 6 (PRIME) -- Major Chinese Internet company Alibaba is considering Russian food imports to China, Mark Zavadsky, head of AliExpress, an affiliate of Alibaba, said Friday.
“Chinese consumers often face problems with the quality of local food, that is why imports goods are quite popular…Russian food could occupy a medium niche between Chinese and European goods,” Zavadsky said at a news conference.
He said negotiations are already under way with Russian producers, retailers, as well as with a large delivery company.
